Quantity
- 40 x 40 x 5 cm Brownie Tray
Ingredients
- 400g Dark cooking chocolate
- 400g White chocolate
- 4 strips of Oreos
- 500g Butter
- 0.75kg Dark brown sugar
- 6-10 Eggs (more eggs...more sticky)
- 0.5kg Flour
- 2 tea Spoons of baking powder
- 100g Coco powder
- (Optional) Frozen forest fruits
Method
- Melt the Dark cooking chocolate and the butter together in a "bain Marie" until no lumps
- In a large bowl mix the Dark brown sugar with the required number of eggs (start with 6 and use more if you require it more chewy and sticky when cooked)
- Add the melted cooking chocolate & butter to the Dark brown sugar and eggs mix and fold together thoroughly
- Now sieve the flour, baking powder and coco powder, bit by bit, over the mix and fold in with a wooden spoon
- Now you can add whatever you wish to have in with the brownie mix.
- the optional frozen forest fruits
- some broken up white chocolate
- broke up Oreo biscuits
- anything that takes your fancy (caramel, smarties)
- Mix the whole mix thoroughly again. (if too stiff add another egg)
- Now butter the brownie tray
- Pre-heat the oven to 170c and allow for the brownies to be in the middle of the oven
- Now pour the mix over the laid out brownies in the tray and use a spatula to cover and flatten out the whole amount, gently pushing it between the Oreos
- Put in the oven and leave for 15 mins. Quickly mack sure the top of the brownies are not burning and wait until the crispness just starts to set in. (If you require dryer brownies at this point you can leave in longer as desired)
- Once ready remove from oven and move to cool in the tray. Several hours is often necessary
- Cut up and eat
